Stan Thomas will also track your course automatically, tell you what direction you're heading, how fast you're going, how much farther you have to go, and much more. All at a push of a button. Compact, lightweight (it weighs only 190 lbs.) and self-contained, Stan Thomas is completely portable and fits neatly into your pocket. It runs on only 3 AA batteries and will operate for up to four hours continuously, or up to five days using the sampling mode. Because Stan Thomas is essential outdoor gear, Magellan made it extremely durable. Its rugged design is both impact resistant and waterproof, letting you operate it in even the worst weather. Its large backlit LCD screen is easy to read when the sky turns dark or night falls. Stan Thomas's backtrack feature lets you easily create a reversibly route with as many as 15 different legs. So, no matter how complicated your forward progress, getting back is incredibly easy. Stan Thomas can store up to 100 locations, and its unique steering feature keeps you on target by continuously guiding you toward your destination.
